Meeting Your Purpose
“There’s something within you that knows what to do.
Surrender your thoughts, your mind, your ego, to the current that knows the way. It will take care of you. It will take better care of you than you can ever imagine.”
-Robert Adams
To Meet Your Soul’s Purpose Requires Letting Go of Your Mind’s Dreams.
Is there a person you are “meant to be”?
Is there a path that is uniquely yours?
Is purpose something we create, or something predetermined?
For millennia, humans have been interested in the existential question, “What is my purpose?”
This question can keep us up at night. It can keep us feeling like we’re not living the “correct” life. It can make us wonder if we’re making the most of our human experience. It can be a source of inspiration, and anxiety.
Many people have written about purpose, from ancient philosophers to modern-day personal growth influencers.
I’ve yet to find a philosophy that resonates with my understanding of spirituality, liberation (enlightenment), and living a life that is in alignment with the deepest truth in me. That is why I’m running this retreat. For the first time, I feel prepared to offer a path toward meeting one’s purpose.
This retreat will go against nearly all of the mainstream narratives about finding your purpose.
Most of our ideas about purpose are generated in the mind. And most ideas generated in the mind are the result of external influence, cultural ideas, media, life experience, and other people.
Thus, when we try to identify our purpose, it becomes a mental exercise more than anything, disconnected from the more subtle, but ever-present, pre-verbal knowing inherent to our human experience.
A few things we will push back on:
Purpose is not something you outline for yourself that extends into the future.
Purpose does not come from creating your ideal vision board.
Purpose is not simply what you’re passionate about.
Purpose is not the lifelong dreams you’ve held.
Purpose is not “being a good person.”
In order to uncover your soul’s purpose, you need to let go of your mind’s dreams, as well as any other ideas about what you want and who you should be.
The mind’s dreams and ideas may be aligned with your purpose, but they are not the starting point. And too often we hold ourselves to some predetermined idea of what our life should be such that we’re not actually listening to the pulse of aliveness moving through us in this moment.
Your purpose can only be communicated to you in a single moment. It’s an intimate relationship with the simple, still, and settled voice within you; the voice that is unique to your karmic lifestream, and takes you closer to the life that is yours to live.
If there is indeed a person you are “meant to be” they will only be uncovered through your uncompromising commitment to listening for, and surrendering to, what is most true in each moment.
How do we do this? That is what we’ll be exploring in this retreat.
If you’re new to my online retreats, they are designed to be a condensed practice and learning period, taking place over 2.5 days, and each with a new theme, helping you move toward a more full, authentic, alive, awakened, and joyous expression of yourself.
Here’s what past participants have said about these retreats:
“I have long been unable to go to traditional meditation retreats because I have small children. This online format provided me with the opportunity (and no excuse) to engage! It was more than I expected – and I had pretty high expectations. Cory’s presence, his depth of knowledge, the structure, and the powerful journey I had were worth far more than the modest cost. I feel cleansed and more centered. I’m deeply grateful for the experience.” -Shannon Polly
“After attending the retreat, I am overflowing with resources, and my practice has new life.”-Dale
“For me, these retreats have been profound and life-changing.” -Dennis Blanchut
“An incredible experience which fostered inner peace. I met countless amazing people and learned an incredible amount of information.” -Mike Fazio
“This retreat was so deep, so personal. Spectacular, really, that it has left me speechless. I think it boils down to: “The adventure continues. I can hardly wait for the next one.” -Louise Lamanna
In addition to the learnings, insights, and breakthroughs that organically arise from the “pressure cooker” nature of a retreat, I will share daily teachings on a variety of different topics and practices, including:

➼ How to train your nervous system for embodied, intuitive knowing
➼ The relationship between intuitive guidance, purpose, and manifestation
