We exhaust ourselves by trying to make everything perfect.

We live in anxiety and fear in our attempt to feel “safe.”

We stop taking risks because we’re afraid of failing.

We don’t let our children make their own mistakes.

We hurt our relationship because our partner feels like they need to walk on eggshells.

We become the person whose anxiety impacts the friend or family group.

We all struggle, to varying extents and in varying contexts, to let go of control.

For some, we just want to go with the flow a bit more.

For others, we’ve been called a “control freak” more times than we can count.

Wherever you are on this spectrum, I want you to know there’s nothing wrong with you. Your nervous system has just learned that it’s safer to stay on edge than it is to meet life with receptive curiosity and a trust in the unfolding.

The good news?

You can have your cake and eat it, too. It’s possible to let go of control while also taking care of yourself and those around you. That’s because “letting go of control” isn’t about checking out and not caring, it’s about being deeply connected to what’s in front of you while holding lightly what comes next.

You could say: Committed to the process, and detached from the outcome.

The idea that things will fall apart if we don’t stay hyper vigilant is mostly the belief system of a younger part of ourselves. At some point, we had to respond to experiences of chaos, uncertainty, fear, and instability. That part of us might still be working in overdrive.

To soften this pattern requires meeting deeply the part of us that grips, to see where that lives in the mind and body, and gently help it learn that it’s possible to soften while still getting your needs met.

That’s what we’re going to do in this retreat.

And that’s what is so special about a retreat opportunity: It’s an immersive experience that  allows us  to work with patterns in a way that we might not otherwise be able to.

The schedule for this retreat can be found below or to the side (depending on which device you’re viewing this on). We will meet on zoom. I understand that different schedules and time zones may make it difficult to attend the sessions live, and that is okay. You do not need to be present in the live sessions to register. All sessions will be recorded and available shortly within 30 minutes of their completion, and they will be yours to keep for at least 3 years. So, if you’re interested in the content, but are not available, you can register and review the recordings, resources, and bonuses when it’s convenient for you. The retreat will not be available for purchase afterwards.
