Focus is a lost art.
With technology at our fingertips, multiple tabs on our desktop browsers, and increasing technological stimuli, the capacity to focus is becoming a lost art.
Yet, being able to sustain attention on what is most important to you, professionally or personally, long-term or for a few minutes, will still be the foundation for growth, connection and wellbeing.
Without this, we’re like leaves blowing in the wind. We’re on automatic pilot. We’re guppies looking for the next pinch of fish food.
You can retrain this capacity. Find something to focus on, notice when the mind wanders, and then bring it back. Repeat the process. It’s that simple, and it’s that difficult.
