Stress is not bad. Stress is necessary. Stress is how we grow.
If I think back to the biggest turning points in my life, they were all preceded by moments of intense stress, discomfort, confusion and doubt.
Those moments offered space for reflection, question, and desire to change in a positive way.
Yes, an overwhelming amount of stress is toxic and should be mitigated. But otherwise, see if you can embrace those moments of discomfort, uncertainty and overwhelm.
A simple shift in mindset of “stress is bad” to “how might this stress be serving me?” can be enough to mitigate the toxic effects of it, but also garner new insights to how it can help you grow in a positive way.
