Maintain your boundaries.

Being open, loving and compassionate doesn’t give people the right to take advantage of your time, energy and space.

In order to continue offering yourself fully to others and the world, you need to have boundaries.

It’s not “unspiritual” to say “no” or to ask for personal space.

A fully embodied person is connected with what they need and understands that their needs are as important as anyone else’s.

If this is hard, start small. Keep your door closed at the office. Turn your phone off for an hour a day. Choose not to respond to the text of that person that’s asking for something, yet again.

In time, this will strengthen your ability to stand up for yourself and set the necessary boundaries for your life.
